I'm an experienced developer with a background in the Commercial Real Estate and Higher Education spaces. Currently working as a Salesforce Administrator & Developer, I'm neck deep in code and ETL tools most days, working in and with tons of data. Project planning and oversight is also becoming more frequent too. I hold a Bachelors of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Science.
I'm currently learning the Rust programming language, which is tough to look at (so much syntax!) but “closer to the metal” as they say which makes it so much faster at runtime. I'm also enamored with the paradigm shift occuring within front-end development and how it can now yield very fast, secure, and scalable sites and applications—three things that don't typically play well together.
My attitude and work ethic are deeply influenced by my blue-collar, modest upbringing in West Texas, and the gracious model of some fantastic people along the way. When not working, I'm either playing with my three kids (9, 6, and 3) or hanging out with my very lovely wife.

First with the office of Undergraduate Admissions now with the Division of Enrollment Management, my role here centers on the Administration of our Salesforce org and the orchestration of vendor and custom in-house ETL pipelines (i.e., cleaning and moving lots of data).

While not the best experience, I did learn much here. From how to effectively manage a team to the value of good documention for software projects. Not to mention, the value of good, clear communtication and carefully crafted team-dynamics cannot be understated. Also, the nightmare of spaghetti code is a real thing. Pray this never visits you!
